India may be known for its rich culture and as the world’s cultural holiday destination. Aside from its cultural destinations, India also takes pride of its beaches, especially the beaches of Kerala. Kerala is where you fill find India’s, and perhaps, the world’s finest beaches. The Kerala coastline is 900km in length, lined with sandy beaches, rocky ridges and palm trees. Among the most popular beaches in Kerala are: Alappuzha Beach with a pier that is around 140 years old. Another popular beach is the Bekal Beach which is the largest and best preserved port in India. Other Kerala beaches are: Beypore beach, Cherai beach and Dharmadam island.
